Nigel Meir
Nigel joined Ludgate in May 2005 as a Director with responsibility for the fund management business. He has been a Fund Manager of the Ludgate Environmental Fund since its launch in 2007. He qualified in medicine from Oxford in 1981 but left his medical career in 1988 to become a diplomat. He subsequently worked for MEC International as a director and strategy consultant to a client base of City firms. From 1998 to 2003 he was the CEO of Alpha Investment Management UK, the London subsidiary of a substantial hedge fund group. From Alpha he moved to be UK Head of Pioneer Investments, the $160 billion asset management arm of the Unicredito Banking Group.
