Dr Charles DesForges
Charles, aged 66, is an experienced industrial manager having held senior management/board positions in several multinational companies. He has extensive experience of the creation and management of technology-dependent processes which exploit IP through nine years as a director at 3i plc. In recent years he has been Chairman or Director of several SMEs operating within the EU and CEO of a multinational metal mining consortium based in Paris. He has a first class honours degree in applied science and a Ph.D from Cambridge University. He is a past vice-president of the UK Institute of Materials and past president of TII, Luxembourg, Europe's leading technology transfer organisation. He is Chairman of Hightex Group plc.
