Professor Colin Besant PHD, FREng, DIC, FI Mech E, FIEE
Colin Besant is Chairman of Turbo Genset Inc., which is engaged in the development
and manufacture of high-speed alternators and electronic systems for electrical
power generation. He has taken the company to listings on both the London Stock
Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange.
Colin was also Professor of Computer-Aided Manufacturing Technology at Imperial College, where he led a large research section in the field of Advanced Manufacturing Technology supported by such organisations as Daimler-Benz, GEC-Marconi, Rolls-Royce Plc, Alcatel and the UK Atomic Energy Authority. Colin has been involved in the establishment of a number of high tech companies in the fields of computer-aided design, numerical control and robotics.
